Expressions of interest for refereeing opportunities open until 16 October

There is still time to register your interest and referee at some of the most important events on the Volleyball Australia 2022 summer calendar, including the Great Ocean Road Beach Volleyfest (Torquay, 23 Nov – 4 Dec), the Australian Volleyball League Finals (Gold Coast, 3-4 December), and the Australian Volleyball Schools Cup (Gold Coast, 4-10 Dec).

With an action-packed calendar that includes the return of the Volleyball World Beach Pro Tour to Australia and other major domestic indoor volleyball events, the support of our referees will be crucial for a successful delivery.

Volleyball Australia’s Sport Delivery and Growth General Manager, Nam Pham encourages the local referee community to get involved in these world-class events on home soil.,

“Summer is here and there are lots of great volleyball events on the horizon. The success of these events relies heavily on the quality of officials that we engage from our community,” Pham said.

Pham encouraged all qualified referees to put their hands up and participate in one of the most exciting summers of volleyball Australia has seen in recent years.

“If you have an officiating qualification and want to be part of the best volleyball action in Australia, check out the upcoming beach and indoor events and fill in an Expression of Interest. We are seeking various officials depending on the specific event.”

Among the range of positions still available, Volleyball Australia will accept expressions of interest for roles such as Auxiliary Officials Manager, Lines Judge, Scorer, Referee and Referees Delegates. If you are interested don’t hesitate, though – the deadline for the EOIs is next Sunday, 16 October 2022.
