Scape on board as sponsor of Volleyball World Beach Pro Tour Futures on Gold Coast

Contemporary student accommodation and global living specialist Scape Australia will donate the entire prize pool for the Volleyball World Beach Pro Tour Futures event currently being held on Coolangatta Beach, QLD, as part of the 2022 Gold Coast VolleySlam.

The tournament is categorised as a third-tier event in Volleyball Worlds’ new Beach Pro Tour structure and carries a total purse of USD 10,000.

Scape is a generous, long-time supporter of Australian Volleyball and has been instrumental in bringing international volleyball events to Australia before, such as the 2019 FIVB Volleyball Nations League and previous stops of the Beach World Tour.

Volleyball Australia CEO Andrew Dee said it was very grateful for Scape’s ongoing commitment to support Australian Volleyball.

“Scape is a long-time partner of Volleyball Australia that has generously supported  many of our programs and events from a community level through to our elite athletes and events.

“Thanks to Scape, VA was able to secure the newly launched FIVB Beach Pro Tour Futures event as the first stop on the World Tour. Sponsoring the prize money for the event has attracted world class teams from 15 nations.

“We are so pleased to be back on Coolangatta beach and to be able to showcase our sport in such an iconic location. With partners such as Tourism and Events Queensland, City of Gold Coast, Hancock Prospecting, We Are Feel Good Inc. and Scape, I would simply not be possible.”

Quarter-Finals for the Beach Pro Tour Futures on Coolangatta Beach ended today, Saturday 2 April, with finals scheduled on Sunday.

Sunday’s bronze medal matches will be streamed on SBS on Demand from 11.45am AEST, and the gold medal matches on SBS Australia from 2pm.

Results are available on the Volleyball World Beach Pro Tour official website.
