Scape, We Are Feel Good Inc. and Budgy Smuggler announced as Volleyball Australia official partners ahead of a great summer of volleyball

Top Australian brands will come together over the summer to support a vibrant volleyball event calendar, as Scape, We Are Feel Good Inc. and Budgy Smuggler have been announced as official partners of Volleyball Australia for the 2022-2023 season and beyond.

This follows the earlier announcement of Australian Radio’s Home of Sport SEN as its major media partner for the upcoming Great Ocean Road Beach Volleyfest.

Volleyball Australia is about to launch a jam-packed series of major domestic and international volleyball events to be held over the summer, starting on 23 November with Torquay’s Great Ocean Road Beach Volleyfest, featuring the Volleyball World Beach Pro Tour and the Australian Beach Volleyball Tour.

Other highly anticipated events in the volleyball calendar include the Australian Volleyball League Finals and the Australian Volleyball Schools Cup on the Gold Coast, and the Asian Volleyball Confederation (AVC) Beach Volleyball Tour, which will make a stop in Mollymook, NSW from 27–30 April 2023.

“We’re very excited to officially welcome Scape, We Are Feel Good Inc. and Budgy Smuggler to the Volleyball Australia family this summer,” said Volleyball Australia CEO, Andrew Dee. “Volleyball Australia is pleased to work with The Partner Group as part of their commercial strategy, which has resulted in these newest partnerships and set a solid foundation for VA’s partnerships moving forward.

“These brands have a long-standing relationship with our sport and share our values and vision for the growth of volleyball in Australia.

“The support of our partners is paramount as we continue attracting international events like the Beach Pro Tour to our shores, giving our athletes more opportunities to compete as we continue our journey on the green and gold runway towards Brisbane 2032.”

Purpose-built student accommodation owner and operator Scape will be Volleyball Australia’s official Accommodation Partner for the next two years, with a focus on activating the partnership at Australian Beach Volleyball Tour events, the Australian Volleyball Schools Cup and the National Youth Championships.

“We are delighted to continue our long-standing partnership with Volleyball Australia into 2023. The synergies with sport reflect Scape’s high-performance culture, from physical wellbeing and healthy competition to nurturing leadership and communication skills in our residents,” said Anouk Darling, CEO of Scape. “Volleyball is an engaging and inclusive sport no matter what your skill level or gender and played all over the world. We look forward to continuing our support now and into the future.”

Australian-made swimwear brand Budgy Smuggler are already very active in the volleyball community and have strong existing relationships with individual players and volleyball teams. They now see this two-year engagement as Official Swimwear Partner of Volleyball Australia as a natural extension of their commitment to support the development of the sport.

“Volleyball and volleyballers have long been an integral part of our Smuggling community,” said General Smugglettes Manager, Alex Linforth.

“We’ve worked hard over the years to support young volleyballers and established athletes work towards their dreams. We’ve also partnered with more local volleyball competitions, so it felt a natural fit to partner with Volleyball Australia. We love nothing more than seeing volleyball courts around the country packed with Smugglers and Smugglettes!”

Building off the back of a successful partnership established during the 2022 Australian Beach Volleyball Tour, We Are Feel Good Inc. has been announced as the Official Sunscreen Partner of Volleyball Australia for the next two years, with the vision to extend the partnership beyond 2024.

We Are Feel Good Inc. is an Australian owned and made sunscreen company, and Co-Founder and Ex Professional Surfer Jake Paterson said the organisation is stoked to continue developing its relationship with Volleyball Australia and highlight both organisations’ love for promoting a fit and healthy lifestyle, outdoors and on the beach.

“There’s nothing better than partnering with another Australian brand whose culture and values align so well with your own. I’m pumped to see the athletes in action and couldn’t be prouder that We Are Feel Good Inc. get to keep them covered while they compete in the sport they love,” Paterson said.

The Great Ocean Road Beach Volleyfest will be held from 23 November to 4 December 2022 at Torquay beach with tickets starting from $5 available at https://beachvolleyfest.com.au/

All the matches played on centre court during the Volleyball World Beach Pro Tour Challenge (23-27 Nov) and Elite 16 (29 Nov-3 Dec) tournaments will be streamed live exclusively on Kayo Freebies (kayosports.com.au/freebies).
