Team Announcement – 2025 AVC Nations Cup Men’s Team

Volleyball Australia (VA) is pleased to announce the men’s Volleyroos  selected to represent Australia in the upcoming Asian Volleyball Confederation (AVC) Nations Cup taking place from the 17 – 24 June in Manama, Bahrain.

Selections have been made off the back of a month-long camp at the Australian Institute of Sport (AIS) in Canberra, with athletes returning home from their respective European clubs and US Colleges for national team duties.

VA National Performance Director Craig Marshall said: “On behalf of Volleyball Australia, I’d like to congratulate the 14 athletes selected to compete at the AVC Nations Cup.

“This is a key event in the Volleyroos preparation ahead of the 2026 Asian Championships, which will serve as a qualification milestone for LA2028. Competing against quality opposition at the Nations Cup will test our systems and give the athletes a real sense of where they stand on the world stage.

“The training block in Canberra has been outstanding and the athletes have embraced the demands and brought a high level of intensity to every single session.

“We’re focused on building a high performance culture that prioritises accountability, connection, and continual growth.

“While our eyes are always on the immediate goals, tournaments like this play an important role in preparing our athletes for the future, especially on the green and gold runway to Brisbane 2032,” he said.

Volleyball Australia’s national programs are supported by FIVB Volleyball Empowerment, helping our teams and athletes reach their full potential and achieve their goals.
