Volleyball Australia AGM Update

The 2025 Volleyball Australia Annual General Meeting (AGM) was held on Saturday 29 November.

At the AGM, the 2024/25 Annual Report was presented by the VA Board.

Volleyball Australia IT & Administration Officer Teresa Lloyd was awarded Life Membership for her long standing service to the sport. Grant Hyde and Kim Bradey were re-elected to the Volleyball Australia Board. 

Volleyball Australia President Craig Carracher AM said: “Board continuity is critical, and we’re pleased to see both Grant and Kim re-elected to the Volleyball Australia board as Elected Directors.”

Carracher said the AGM was a great opportunity to reflect on the last 12 months, and look ahead to some exciting projects ahead for Volleyball Australia.

“The 2024/25 year has been an exceptional one for Volleyball Australia, both on and off the court.

“Our sport continues to strengthen its foundations, expand its reach and deliver inspiring performances on the world stage, all while maintaining a strong and sustainable financial position.

“As we look ahead to the next 12 months, it’s going to be a big one for Volleyball Australia, with the release of the Strategic Plan, which will take us through until 2028.

“We’ll look to build on the momentum from hosting the FIVB Beach Volleyball World Championships, one of the most spectacular events to ever be held in Australia and a hugely successful one for our sport.

“Over the 10 days we welcomed the world’s best athletes, volunteers, staff as well as fans new and old to experience our game in its biggest format on the global stage.

“On behalf of the VA Board, I’d like to congratulate the entire Volleyball Australia team on the World Championships, and with the Australian Volleyball Schools Cup in the not too distant future, we look forward to continuing to deliver world class events at all levels of our sport,” he said.
