AUSTRALIAN JUNIOR VOLLEYBALL CHAMPIONSHIPS TO BE HELD IN SYDNEY THIS WEEK

Volleyball Australia is pleased to be bringing the Australian Junior Volleyball Championships to Sydney this week.

The Australian Junior Volleyball Championships brings together the best players from the Under 19 and Under 23 age group divisions for three days of volleyball action.

A pathway event for athletes in these age groups, the Australian Junior Volleyball Championships provides a competitive playing opportunity for athletes to either progress on their volleyball journey, or more generally provide a high level playing opportunity against athletes of the same age.

For the first time, the event will also be open to teams from around the world, with both New Zealand and the USA set to take part.

Volleyball Australia CEO Andrew Dee said it’s going to be an exciting week of volleyball competition.

“We are looking forward to welcoming our community back together again for the Australian Junior Volleyball Championships in Sydney this week,” Dee said.

“We have been working hard to create development opportunities for our junior players, and the new look Australian Junior Volleyball Championships is a great testament to this.

“This is also the first opportunity for us to welcome the world to an indoor event since the COVID-19 pandemic, and we are excited to see how our domestic teams match up to their counterparts from New Zealand and the USA,” he said.
