With 170 days until the FIVB Beach Volleyball World Championships, two Aussie teams continue their quest for vital qualification points at the Beach Pro Tour Elite16 event in Ostrava, Czechia this week.

Beach Pro Tour Elite16 events are the premier beach volleyball competitions, where teams can earn the highest volume of ranking points towards their World Rankings, which will determine qualifiers for the FIVB Beach Volleyball World Championships, set to be held in Adelaide, South Australia from 14-23 November.

Three-time Olympian Taliqua Clancy will team up with her new partner, South Australian young gun Jana Milutinovic, in the qualification rounds. They’ll face USA’s Julia Scoles and Lexy Denaburg for a spot in the main draw.

Off the back of a ninth place finish at their last Elite16 event in Brasilia in April, Paris Olympians Izac Carracher and Mark Nicolaidis have secured their place in the main draw. Drawn in Pool A, they’ll play Latvia’s Martin Plavins and Kristians Fokerots in game one.
