EOI | 2025 Men’s Volleyroos Open Camp
Volleyball Australia is calling for expressions of interest by candidates seeking an opportunity to participate in the 2025 Men’s Volleyroos Open Camp next month.
A maximum of 24 athletes will be selected to take part in the Camp at the Australian Institute of Sport in Canberra from Monday 2 May to Thursday 5 May.
Athletes will be assessed on their current and future potential to compete at the senior international men’s level. Attributes which are considered a good guide for athlete competencies include:
- jump serving and spiking at 105km/hr+
- consistently competing at the top of the antenna
- highly-efficient serve receive
- highly-consistent setting
- excellent reading and decision-making skills
Athletes will be responsible for their own transportation to and from the Open Camp. The levy for this camp will be $300 AUD.
- Athletes that choose to stay at the AIS during camp there will be an additional cost of $100 AUD per night.
- Should athletes choose to stay off site – there may be an option to purchase meals at the AIS dining hall during the camp using debit or credit cards.
Some athletes who participate in the Open Camp may be offered the opportunity to participate in some part of the Volleyroos Squad Camp from 6 to 30 May. (Costs for this camp will be covered except for transport.)
