Men’s Volleyroos take on three tournaments in two weeks
The Australian Men’s Volleyroos take to the court in the 2024 Korea Invitational in Jecheon, Korea tomorrow at the start of a two-week long series of international fixtures.
The Volleyroos take on China on Saturday before facing Brazil, Japan and Korea over the following three days. All four teams are ranked in the world’s top 30 with Japan and Brazil targetting medals at Paris 2024.
Following the invitational event, the team will travel to Hainan, China to play in an exhibition 9-a-side tournament (19-21 July) before finishing the tour playing a friendly tournament against China’s top club teams (23-25 July).
The team was selected following a recent camp at the Australian Institute of Sport. Given matches on the tour will not carry world ranking points, some key senior athletes have been rested from the tour to provide opportunities for younger players coming through the ranks.
