Volleyball Australia announces teams for Asian Senior Beach Volleyball Championships and Junior World Championships

Volleyball Australia is pleased to announce the athletes who will represent Australia at the upcoming Asian Senior Beach Volleyball Championships and U19/21 World Beach Volleyball Championships.

The Asian Senior Beach Volleyball Championships will be held in Phuket, Thailand from the 23 – 28 November 2021.

Tokyo Olympian Chris McHugh is set to return to the international sands with partner Paul Burnett, the pair joined by Max Guehrer, Thomas Hodges, Izac Carracher and James Takken in the men’s competition.

In the women’s competition, Phoebe Bell, Georgia Johnson, Alisha Stevens, Jana Milutinovic, Stefanie Fejes and Jasmine Fleming will don the green and gold for Australia.

From 3 – 19 December Thailand will also play host to the U19/21 World Beach Championships, where Australia will be represented by six athletes.

Alisha Stevens/Stefanie Fejes and Lucas Josefsen/Jack Pearse will feature in the main draw of the women’s and men’s competitions respectively, with Jasmine Fleming/Kayla Mears and Joshua Howat/Solomon Bushby vying for a spot in the main draw through the qualification process.

The Asian Senior Beach Volleyball Championships and Junior World Championships will kick start what is set to be a massive summer for Australia’s best beach volleyball players, with Volleyball Australia unveiling the four-stop 2022 Australian Beach Volleyball Tour last Monday – click here for the full announcement.
