Volleyball Australia’s newest tour lands on the national calendar

Volleyball Australia (VA) is pleased to present the revamped Australian Junior Beach Volleyball Tour for 2022, with the best U19 and U21 athletes from around the country set to battle it out on Australia’s best beaches this summer.

The Australian Junior Beach Volleyball Tour is the premier domestic event for junior beach volleyball athletes, bridging the gap between the Youth and Australian Beach Volleyball Tour (ABVT).

Set to take place over three rounds, the Australian Junior Beach Volleyball Tour provides a high level of competition that showcases the best junior athletes from around the country.

Two legs of the 2022 Australian Junior Beach Volleyball Tour are already confirmed, set to take place in Cobram from 7-9 February and Manly from 1-3 March. VA are hopeful of adding a third leg of the tour in January, with the exact dates and location to be confirmed.

Volleyball Australia CEO Andrew Dee said: “The Junior Beach Volleyball Tour is a fantastic playing opportunity for our best junior athletes from right across the country.

“Previously, we had only had one national event on the calendar for juniors, so it’s great to have a series of three events on the Junior Tour this summer.

“This summer is set to be one of our biggest to for many years, with more than 80 events taking place across the country, and the Australian Junior Beach Volleyball Tour is a welcome addition to this,” he said.

The Australian Junior Beach Volleyball Tour will take place over three rounds, with details of the January leg to be confirmed in the coming weeks.

Round 1: TBC

Round 2: 7-9 February 2022 (Cobram, Victoria)

Round 3 – Finals: 1-3 March 2022 (Manly, NSW)
