Volleyroos were determined in a tough match against Argentina

Overnight the Volleyroos went down in three sets to Argentina (25-18, 25-19, 25-20) in the 2021 FIVB Volleyball Nations League.

Head Coach Marcos Miranda said the team unfortunately couldn’t repeat the same strong showing they had against Japan in Wednesday night’s match.

“Today was not our best game, they were strong in their serve which we were not able to overcome in the end.

“Onward to the game against Italy tomorrow, where we hope to have another strong game against the hosts.”

Despite the result, Volleyroos Captain Luke Perry is proud to watch debutants Max Senica and Tobi Azeez improve with each game.

“Tomorrow we play against another top team in the world in Italy and we have another chance to take steps forward as a team.

“We’ll use the losses against Japan and Argentina as motivation going into tomorrow’s match.”

The Volleyroos return to the court tomorrow morning at 12:30am AEST against Italy.
