U20 Women Japan Tour Wrap 

The 14-player Women’s U20 squad traveled to Japan for a development tour held from May 26 to June 5.

Under the guidance of Head Coach Kathryn Chen, the team competed in eight matches, gaining invaluable international experience. 

With athletes in the prime development stage for future elite competition, this exposure marks an important step on their journey toward Brisbane 2032.

“The U20 Women had a 10-day development tour in Japan competing against Mekai University and various high school teams,” said Kathryn Chen. 

“The fast style of play is always challenging, and fun. It pushes the athletes out of their comfort zone, which is always rewarding. 

“We walked away with many lessons, and a drive for continued growth for the future.”
