
Volleyball Australia celebrates Green & Gold Runaway to Brisbane 2032
Volleyball Australia is today excited to join the Green and Gold Runway to the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympics Games, with sports across Australia preparing to make the most of another home Games.
Not only will the next decade be an opportunity to unearth a new generation of talent, but it will also be an opportunity for sports to connect with the Australian community to encourage more people to Have A Go.
With celebrations being held across Queensland to mark the occasion today, Australia’s leading beach volleyball athletes are preparing for the Commonwealth Games, taking place between 28 July to 8 August in Birmingham, UK.
The 10-year journey will provide more opportunities to get involved and see the best of the best in action at international events, giving fans, athletes, coaches and volunteers a reason to get excited.
Volleyball Australia CEO Andrew Dee said the Brisbane 2032 Olympic Games offer many exciting opportunities in its lead-up.
“Today marks the start of the green and gold runway to the Brisbane 2032 Olympics which will present exciting opportunities for Australia and Australian sport,” he said.
“Not only will the next decade inspire a new generation of Olympians, it will also provide a great opportunity to connect with sporting fans with many international events to be held on home soil.
“With the evolution of the Volleyball World Beach Pro Tour this season, and many other exciting international volleyball events now on the calendar, Volleyball Australia looks forward to the possibility of hosting more international events on our shores,” he said.
